I am so impressed with this flashlight. I did my research and found that this was a good durable piece of equipment. I ordered it and was suprised by its quality and construction. It is super bright. I have always owned Mag-lights in the past but this dosnt hold a candle to it (get the pun...) It has 4 settings, bright,dim,strobe and SOS. It works well. Its a great workhorse flashlight that can double as an awesome bike light.Brightness: My previous light was a 160 lumen torch. This one is twice as bright as my previous light on the low setting! The high setting is blinding indoors, you can basically bounce it off the ceiling to light up an entire livingroom. The beam is more floody than concentrated, which is great for my bike rides. The throw of the light is about 150-200 yards. I have compared it to car headlights and this light outshines halogen bulb headlights. When compared to HID's, you can still make out the flashlight's beam. Battery Life: Battery life seems to be decent. I haven't notice a decrease in light output during continous use. Wow! This light is AWESOME! For as small as it is, it is SUPER BRIGHT. I only need to use it on low setting for normal use. SOS doesn't exists, just slow strobe. Maybe mine is defective? I don't know. I had a choice between this one or another brand rated the same. I chose this for the SOS strobe. To bad is doesn't work. It lists a free holster, but not sure what the holster is, or where to find it. It only has the clip on the side, as pictured. High will light up a small field. Compared to the high beam of a car, it's brighter than most standard high beams for lighting up a field. But up closer, it's more focused, so a car high beam, on the side of the garage door is spread out more, and more yellow. I have a 10,000,000 candle power spot light that is huge, and this out performs it. Of course, the big light is just a car headlight in a large portable device.
